My friend Connie went to her home state of Florida for a family visit and spent some quality time on the beach looking for sea beans.
These are the finds - some are old standbys and some new ones for the collection.
This one is yet unidentified. It looks like a flower or a thorn.
These are seeds from a coin plant - a first for me. These are common in Florida but not so much along the Texas beaches.
There were three red mangrove seeds but this is the first twisted one I have seen.
This is the freshest tropical almond I have seen. It even has some of the dark husk intact.
This picture shows tropical almonds in various stages of decomposition.
Thanks Connie for the new beans!
